Communicating with Dreams – Friends of My Heart
In her ‘Communicating with Dreams’ article, Dr. Sally invites you to pay attention to your dreams by trying the dream exercise she writes down and demonstrates.

Friends of My Heart
I had a wondrous dream last night. The friends of my heart came to visit me. I wanted to welcome all of them in my big living room and serve them food and the warmth of a family, created by them. But I don’t live there anymore.
Yohanna travels by train. She has a lot of preparations to make, a whole lot of hard work, it’s not easy for her. I can sense that she’s in motion.
Dimi travels through flight. He doesn’t need an airplane, mind you. I can feel his presence when he’s with me, although his body is not here. He’s in my heart, he’s in my soul.
Then there is another person. Do I know him? He kinda looks like my best friend, but it’s not him. Now I am the one in a different place. It seems we’re in Vienna, an old apartment on the top floor, maybe one or two streets away from my first apartment I had. I feel comfortable with him. Have I met him before? He minds me. When I touch him, there’s a response.
[Everything in there is old and dark. It looks 80s style. What makes the whole room cozy is his attendance. It’s him being cozy and cuddly and open. It’s a loving atmosphere. I lack it in real life.]
What does it mean?
Where am I supposed to meet him, in the past?
I do not want to wake up from this. I cling to every part. It’s no real memory. I don’t want to wake up. My head hurts, I cannot escape the physical world. Please let me be with him, just a while longer. I can’t go back. My head hurts.
