Movement workshops at Pyramid

O.Z.O.R.A. is a transformational experience, in which recreation and learning can both be pillars of everyone’s individual metamorphosis. Trying out and participating in ancient, spiritual practices during the festival is as much a leisure activity, as a source of continuous, conscious growth.

Spiritual “body and mind” techniques such as acro yoga, aikido, ashtanga yoga, belly dance, capoeira, chi kung, chi practise, morning yoga, traditional balinese dance, wing tsun, yogalates, weight flow training, flamenco, contemporary impro, contact dance, Javanese dance and dance therapy have been gaining ground at the festival since 2012.

The spiritually charged Pyramid (the very first building of the festival’s Magic Garden area) has been functioning with full-house programs since it was created: the location is regularly visited by hundreds of open-minded Ozorians at a time, who go there to reenergize, learn, develop, raise body-awareness, or whatever they feel the most need for, regardless of age or gender. This is why this place is so magical. It adapts to and exists in symbiosis with the overall festival adventure and atmosphere, which is reflected also by the exceptional opennes that characterizes the colorful programs of the Pyramid.

Sometimes two classes were held simultaneously, one on the Pyramid’s podium and the other outside on the grass. Yet, even when the numbers are large and the space is somewhat limited for everyone’s ideal asana, the Pyramid is a perfect example of how caring and attentive festival-dwellers are with each other.

In addition to some new and exciting programs, the more popular movement styles will return this year again. One of the main driving forces behind the Pyramid programs is the euphoric community experience you can find here, every day from 9am to 8pm.
