BLASTOURIST On the Way to OZORA 2019

Blastourist are two veteran forces of the Hungarian psy scene, producer known as Spiritcat and DJ Gorgo, who are fusing their countless years of experience to bring you quality-crafted basslines to catch the light in the dark of the night with this project, with a fresh EP Unio Mystica out on Sangoma.

They are also on their way to the 2019 festival edition, catch them on the Main this summer. Here’s a an on point interview with them, which you can read audioillustrated if you click on the link below to listen to their On the Way set for radiOzora.

– What inspired you to start this project together?
Around 2005-6 BC we felt a call to try to make our own tunes and ideas. 

– What stands behind the name of your project?
The project came to life in 2016 and the godfather is none other than the mighty Dr. Space. 

– Who has had the greatest influence on your musical soundscapes?
X-dream, Silicon Sound, Alien Project, Prodigy, Pink Floyd, The Beatles.

– Which releases/tracks are the most characteristic of your sounds or stand the closest to you for some reason?
Vertical – Autumnium EP

– Scene at home?
Fortunately there are some promising and dedicated crews who care about the local psy scene.

– Most memorable gigs, experiences?
The events of Labirythm crew.

– Musically speaking what’s still on your bucket list? 
Would be nice to travel with our music to interesting places.

– What are your other passions in life?
Sports, outdoor activities.

– What do you think about psychedelic festivals and their role in our lives, if any:)?
It’s a great chance to meet and come into contact with colorful people and their experiences from all over the globe. 

– Have you been at OZORA before? If yes, what are your expectations for this year? What are you surely going to try out or check out? 
Actually we’ve been at Ozora for every edition since 1999. It would be hard to pick out just a few names, there are going to be plenty of interesting artists and performances at the festival this year as well.

– Are you preparing anything extra for your performance at OZORA?
A bottle of Pampero. Hopefully opened after the set.
