Parvati Inna Dome
Parvati Records need no introduction, the label has been regularly present on the Ozorian main stage and at other international festivals, dark forest stages worldwide while they also play an important role in creating lineups and organizing parties, especially in the motherland of GOA – Goa, India. This year the flagship that flies mostly under the flag of forest is sailing into the Chill Dome too on Saturday evening with the crew of Vlastur, Tengri and Parvati capo di tutt’i capi, Giuseppe, who answered some of our questions about the project…
– When did the idea of a Dub / chill compilation first come to you?
– I have always loved dub music and felt a connection between it and psy-trance, a connection both musical but also in the spirit, so I have often thought about releasing some Dub music with an extra psychedelic touch and finally after meeting with great Greek musician, Vlastur a few years ago, this project became reality.
– Who had the idea of a Parvati in Dub slot at the Dome?
– The idea of a Parvati In Dub session at the Ozora Dome came up talking with Dj Josko who in the end asked us if we could present few hours of our dub vision. I have to say that we were extremely happy, honored and now excited about this project.
– When is the next Parvati in Dub release planned? Tell us more about future plans.
– After the first EP Parvati In DUb, produced by Vlastur and released in 2015 we decided to continue with this experiment and produce more of it, so Vlastur is currently at work writing some more remixes of Parvati psy-trance classics.
The EP – Parvati In Dub by Vlastur is a remix in dub of 4 previously psy-trance tracks released on Parvati Records through the years. Original tracks are productions by Derango, Jahbo, Atriohm and Archaic.
– What do you have in mind for such a special night at the Dome ?
– We have a lot of ideas for this night and really looking forward to it: there will be solo sets by Tengri and Vlastur and the last part will be the 3 of us together on stage for an extended Dj set. We will try to bring some fun into the DOme, some dance, some dub and some psychedelic vibe.
– What do you consider some of the most important milestones in Parvati history?
– Apart from some CD releases that are now sold out and marked and defined the so-called Parvati Sound, such as the v/a Tits On Fire or the Atriohm album Ukalen I feel that a main milestone for us has been the Parvati Stage at Full Moon Festival in Germany in the summer of 2010: it was our 10th Anniversary and it became the freaky /underground/ place to be the event of that summer.
– Your favourite non-trance electronic music artists of all time?
– Difficult to say coz I have many, but the first name that comes up in my mind right now is: The Clash.

We have finally realized a project very dear to us: the remix in dub of some Parvati tunes. After meeting and chilling together for some time in Goa last year with Greek dub musician/producer Vlastur and one of his fellow musicians Dimitri Dark Elf, we decided to start this venture and now we are happy and proud to present you this release !
Vlastur’s journey into music started in the mid-80s and he has been one of the engines of the dub experimental scene in Athens, starting and joining several bands and projects through the years as producer and session musician. His meeting with the psy-trance scene is dated back in the years and now this collaboration with Parvati Records is showing us how music has no borders!
The EP – Parvati In Dub by Vlastur is a remix in dub of 4 previously psy-trance tracks released on Parvati Records through the years. Original tracks are productions by Derango, Jahbo, Atriohm and Archaic.
All tracks are remixed by Vlastur at 49Studio, Athens (feat. Fefer and Marios Ntavelis on Guitars)
