Come to the Wheel and Gain Evolutionary Wisdom
The human species is on the threshold of a major shift in consciousness. Such a shift is essential if we are to survive into the future. Humans are not readily willing to change unless Necessity (an ancient Greek Goddess) forces them to. Necessity has now arrived in the form of worldwide climate, economic, political and ecological changes that demand a new level of consciousness to adequately deal with them. Never before in the history of humanity have we been under such pressure to Wake Up! Fortunately, 21st Century humans have, also as never before, the opportunity and capacity to evolve to a new level of consciousness. More people than ever have the resources, free time, and desire to be able to consider such things as consciousness expansion and attend programs like Ozora’s Wheel of Wisdom.
Presenting the Wheel of Wisdom (WoW) Program is our response to humanity’s pressing need for consciousness expansion. WoW is an introduction to ways participants can begin to consciously develop the necessary awareness, and capacity to meet the demands of the present and future world changes. Not only is consciousness evolution a necessity, it is our human birthright and the consciousness of the Universe evolves through our consciousness evolution.
Expansion of consciousness is one of the primary purposes of the psychedelic experience. WoW offers participants a drug-free way to intentionally expand their consciousness over the course of five days. Additionally, WoW teaches participants about the evolution of human consciousness historically through time as well as the developmental stages of consciousness through an individual lifetime. WoW utilizes an ancient symbol, commonly known as a Mandala or Medicine Wheel, as a teaching tool. This symbol, used as a blueprint for the evolution of human consciousness, contains seven different directions. By learning and understanding the meanings of these seven directions participants develop ways to consciously evolve. Each day we journey together to a different direction on the Wheel, teaching about the successive level of consciousness with each direction.
O.Z.O.R.A. Festival is unique in offering a comprehensive program such as the Wheel of Wisdom; one that actively teaches participants ways to expand consciousness, as well as inspires in them a desire to know who they truly are.
INITIATES PROGRAM
In addition to the ongoing daily program we conduct a smaller (limit 25), more intensive Initiates Program, located in our outdoor classroom, away from the main festival activity. Initiates are required to attend the daily program as well as attend an additional hour-long program. In this additional program Initiate’s learn to reflect deeply on their lives and the choices they make. They are guided by lecture content, discussion, group interaction, spending time in nature and daily homework assignments. We also recommend spiritual practices for them to experiment with and to continue their consciousness development when they return home from the festival.
PROGRAM EVALUATION
Every year we conduct an evaluation of the WoW program and utilize questionnaire responses from Initiates to determine its overall effectiveness and for ongoing program development. Our questions for Initiates targeted specific areas we think are particularly important for evolutionary expansion of consciousness. We want to know the effects of program participation on their awareness of: themselves, psyche, consciousness, nature, and how it affected their experience of Ozora Festival itself. We also asked Initiates if participating in the WoW program affected their likelihood of making any changes in their lives, what those changes might be, and any additional comments they’d like to share.
The evidence gathered from this evaluation process both confirms and affirms our primary goals and purpose. The vast majority of responses we have received are very positive, expressing the many ways WoW is useful, especially in understanding themselves and consciousness better, as well as demonstrating examples of consciousness expansion. Each year we have conducted this evaluation process, we have received similar affirmative responses. For example, every year all participants indicated a likelihood of making changes in their lives as well as saying WoW changed their experience of Ozora festival in a positive, at times even spiritual way.
VOLUNTEER / INTERNSHIP
If you are interested and desire to participate in the WoW program, you may wish to consider becoming a volunteer intern. We are asking for four people, two women to assist Dr. Sally and two men to assist Professor Béla in producing and operating this year’s Wheel of Wisdom Programs. We will need you to come approximately two weeks before the O.Z.O.R.A. Festival begins (by July 15) and stay one day after the festival ends (Aug. 7). You are required to become an Initiate and fully participate along with the other Initiates in the Initiate’s Program. You must be prepared to have most of your Ozora festival experience with the Wheel of Wisdom Program. Understand also that some of the work is challenging and requires you to be in good health and fully responsible for your own well-being. If you are interested, click on the link provided and fill out the volunteer form, indicating your preference for WoW. We will contact you and provide you with additional details.
You can find the Volunteer Application here.
