Horsing Around in the 2014 Labyrinth
The Labyrinth is an adventure of its own at the festival. Having said this, there are still many veteran festivalgoers who have not yet ventured inside this maze of different paths, have never uncovered the secrets and surprises that are hidden among the rustling corn stalks. But for those who do take the time to tackle the Ozorian maze, it can be an extra festival experience through which one can get lost in space and time in an active and even creative way – especially during the given Labyrinth Hours when it comes alive.
With each new manifestation, the Labyrinth is created to reflect a certain central theme. Last year, the first time when there were also Labyrinth creatures and certain hours when they appeared to entertain the visitors who found the Tea party location in the middle of the maze, the inspiration was mainly ‘Alice in Wonderland’. It was also the first time the paths became more exciting, narrower than in the previous years, entirely man-made instead of the winding, wider, machine-cut avenues. The positive evolution that we all strive towards in so many areas of our personal and festival life in general, will also be visible in the Labyrinth this summer with the realization of the freshest ideas based on our experiences from the past years.

The Winner of 2013
The central topic is twofold.
On one hand, the design is inspired by the notion that “there’s plenty of room for all of God’s creatures” in this universal and cosmic zoo we all belong to, and given that 2014 is the Year of the Horse, this will also be symbolized by the newest Labyrinth visuals, brought to life together with the Labyrinth creatures who will ensure that the cornfield experience is also both fun and pro-active, especially in the hours when the main stage falls silent for a while. Last year, for example, Labyrinth visitors also had the chance, first time ever, to win a ticket for the following year’s festival through a game of hidden key-hunting and riddle-solving. This won’t be any different this summer, just perhaps more colorful and entertaining as the second inspirational notion is that “the creative adult is the child who survived”. So in 2014 playfulness and games will be one of the main features of the Labyrinth adventure with a lucky 2015 festival ticket winner. The Labyrinth creatures, in case you stumble upon them, will entertain you with a new set of challenges, while the biggest of them all might be to find your way out while you’re overcoming obstacles and discovering the newest visual treats along the paths.
And that’s about as many spoilers as you’ll get! Just keep in mind that there is a cornfield above the main stage that will be transformed into an maze of excitement, whether it means just wandering around until you eventually find the exit, participating in various competitions and games led by the Labyrinth Creatures with the chance of winning a ticket for 2015, discovering the surprise-routes and locations or the artwork that lies hidden within.
